we get broken..

It’s when we don’t get to have anything. It’s when we are faced with a choice, and we chose what we wanted. But then we end up not having anything at all. It’s when someone breaks our heart with the words that they say. It’s when our wishes get shattered after after trying to hold it for so long. It’s when we fall from where we are currently standing. And it’s when someone you really loved left you behind.

These things happen to us several times in our lives, and it’s up to us if we end up getting totally broken or try to mend the wound and continue on as a stronger person.

God, as stated on the Holy Scriptures, gives us challenges in life. Some are easy to beat, and some try to shatter every part of your sanity. To the point that we give up and lose our trust in Him. But that is not what God wants us to do. What the true purpose of those challenges are, is for us to live with it and face it head on, place our trust in Him, and try our best to beat the odds. For He won’t give us problems that we cannot solve.

Getting hurt could make a person weaker. It’s when he gives up even before he tries to solve the problem. Making him confined in his insecurities and doubts on his and God’s abilities to face the problem. Thus, turning him to a weak person, not able to cross the hardships of life.

On the other hand, getting hurt could also make a person stronger. It’s when he doesn’t give up even though he already failed countless times and is being discouraged by everyone around him. It is when he uses his weakness and turns them into strengths in order to accomplish his goal. How is that possible? It is by admitting that you are weak, and ask the Lord for guidance. For the Lord says, that it is when we are weak that we are STRONG. Thus, with the help God, the person then becomes more stronger and is able to face problems that look like they have no solutions.

Which of these two would we be? Would we be the one who gets weaker as he faces problems in his life? Or we would be the one who gets stronger as the number of problems he faces grow.

If we would want to be the second person, we should try our best to think that we could overcome the hardships that we are having on the present. Accepting the weakness that caused the hardship, and pray to God to give us guidance. After that, we place our full trust and faith in Him, and face the problem head on.

a day of reflection..

There comes a time in our life where we need to lay down our job for even just one day and escape from the bars of life. Where there would be no responsibility to think about, just going around the town while reflecting on the things that you have done and would want to do. It’s the time where you go to places that define who you are and try to concentrate your heart and soul while there.

The hero had his day of reflection this past Wednesday, and he went to a historical place where he enjoyed the sights and the beauty of the place. He attentively read the history of the place which made him felt connected to the place. He turned out loving the place and the people who helped built it. Inspiring him to do his best to make the dream a reality. If it isn’t for this days of reflection, the hero won’t ever find his purpose in life.

taking the next step..

Two more weeks to go before the start of the second movement, and the hero is about to take the next step to end his dream. He needs to improve on his skills and be more professional and mature on his decision-making. For he cannot move to the next step if he keeps having cloudy judgments on many of his choices.

He also needs to accept that there are circumstances when he can’t do things on his own, and he needs someone to help him on the way. Moreover, he would be needing the Father’s guidance so that he won’t get lost again on his dreams.

These are only a few of what the hero has to do in order to wake up from his long dream and continue his wishes on reality, for every wish would be futile if they would only happen in dreams.

every dream must end..

The dream must end, in order for the future  to continue on.

-Yuko Ichihara of Tsubasa and xxxHolic

The first movement of the symphony is still playing, and many things have already took place.

The first movement’s melody prepares the hero for the storm to come at the end of the symphony. The notes speak to him of the inevitability of the end. That it would surely come because the symphony already started and the only way for the symphony to end is to wake up. The dream is ending, and it would surely end, no matter what happens on the other side.

The hero experienced many trials and sacrifices during his dream, because all of these are necessary for the dream to become reality. He waited for so long just to find this perfect moment. He collected all the strength, courage and wisdom that he could find for the coming end.

But not only that, he is also willing to put everything in line, just for his wish to come true. He is even risking to lose his family and friends. Bit by bit he is directing all his heart and soul to the fulfillment of his wish, of the call that has enshrouded him for so long.

His only prayer and hope is that the dream would end with someone on his side, someone to be with him, and will guide him in the future.

But, what really happens after the dream would depend on how the hero would follow the Composer’s notes, for the Composer would surely play many other symphonies. Symphonies that the hero should follow to continue his journey, his journey to follow the voice that is in his heart. A journey that would only begin after the dream ends.

So, bearing all these things in mind, the hero continues to find more strength and courage in order for the dream to end. For he knows that he should wake up, for the future to continue on.

cramming..

Cramming, according to Harper and Collins, is learning as much as possible in a short time just before we take an examination.

Well, if you would want a broader description, cramming is what we students “always” do when time mysteriously goes by without us being able to do anything. It’s when we open our handouts for the first time on the way to school, trying to take in all the things needed to pass the exam. It’s when we sacrifice our lunch break just to review on the classroom.

So, what is the cause of this mysterious phenomenon? Are we students not given enough time to review at home? Should we have at least one more day added to the weekend?

Whether we like it or not, we really tend to cram. It’s not because we aren’t interested in what we study, but it’s because we have so much things to do that reviewing our lessons is at the end of the list. The priority of the said list, I think, are parties, shopping, sleeping, checking your facebook, sleeping, eating, sleep more, eat more, and the next thing you know, it’s already Monday.

coward..

Cowards die a thousand deaths. The valiant taste of death but once.

- William Shakespeare

They really do die a thousand deaths. Dying everyday for they fail to do what their heart tells them to, and I think I fall in the definition of “coward”.

a country cut-off from time..

I just bought my copy of TSUBASA 24 earlier this day before going to school, and I’m already pumped up to read it! Why? Well, mind you that this volume would be the start of the Final Arc of Tsubasa! Finally! After 3 years of watching the anime and patiently waiting for manga and OAD releases, the story is about to end.

In this final arc, Syaoran, Fai, Kurogane and Mokona return to the Kingdom of Clow. Well, not in the regular Kingdom of Clow of course, for they would need a special condition for them to be able to find Fei Wang Reed and Sakura, and it’s to enter the Kingdom of Clow in dimension cut-off from time. I wonder how would they manage to do such. Will they be able to rescue Sakura? Would the clones still be part of the story? Will we find the answers as to what really happened in the past? Find out!

Tsubasa 24 is already available on all Fully Booked stores nationwide. The 25th volume would be available next week. For those who haven’t read or watched Tsubasa yet, the anime is available on Comic Alley stores or on websites like animea.net. OVAs and OADs would also be available on animea.net.

it’s been just a week..

Sometimes, when one person is missing, the whole world seems depopulated.

- Lamartine

I haven’t seen them for only a week, and it already felt like forever. How much pain can I endure? How much patience would I need? They’re always in my thoughts, not sure if I would see them again. I remember their voices and the wisdom that they share, wishing that I was there with them, able to hear every word that they speak.

Every day as I open my eyes, I think of them, as I prepare for school I think of them, I hear their voices while I’m on the road, and see their faces on the crowd. Not knowing what to do to remove them in my thoughts, I just continue the agony of keeping them.

I just wish that my sanity would still be intact after this long separation, and I hope that there would be a proper reunion at hand.

Being separated from them is a big sacrifice, a sacrifice necessary for the dream to end.

someone..

Sometimes, it helps to know that you could lose someone.

- Sarah Walker

It really does help to know that you’ve got someone to lose, for what would life be if you had no one.

saving up..

I started doing this saving thing last December. I try to place all the change left in my pocket on this Sola bottle. See, not only did I manage to save money, I also saved the environment by recycling! And I’m planning to buy some clothes or shoes when I get to fill this guy up! It really feels great to know that these coins could buy you many things, just because you had a change from the fare. Amazing.
